S .... I agree with most of what you said here . . . but I have to disagree with your statement on abortion being a "purely political issue" . . . I believe it is much more than that. Of course, the abortion issue is highly politicized, and both Dems and Reps use the Pro-Abortion or Pro-Life banners to rally support at virtually every election (often with little or no genuine sincerity or intention to take real action) . . . but this does not mean that it is purely political.

As a non-religious person, I am approaching the abortion issue from a non-religious, logical perspective. What is a fetus? If it isn't a human being, then what is it? Is there a particular moment where the fetus emerges from non-human to human? I have heard people argue that it begins with the heart beat.... or with brain waves.... or the opening of the eyes .... or even when it begins to look human . . . all of these criteria are subjective.... they don't mean anything . . . Many believe that so long as the baby is within the womb, the woman has the right to chose to kill it. So far, every argument I have heard in support of the fetus not being a human being has been deeply flawed.

The most logical conclusion is that once the sperm fertilizes the egg.... you have a human being. Left to its natural course, the baby will grow, develop, and either be born or miscarry ..... and left to its natural course the fetus will never become an ape, a dolphin, an elephant or anything other than what it already is, a human being. Sperm on its own simply dies... so we can safely say that a sperm is not a human being. The egg on its own will simply die... also not a human. This is true 100% of the time. Once the sperm fertilizes the egg, it is a different story.

So . . . this being the case . . . logically, to support abortion is to support the killing of a human being (the reason pro-abortionists engage in such a passionate campaign to dehumanize the unborn baby is not unlike the programming some soldiers undergo to enable them to kill the enemy without going insane.... if they see the enemy as sub-human or even non-human... it makes it much easier to deal with killing them).

As far as I am concerned, murder is murder . . . regardless of age . . . regardless of location. Just because the baby is within the mother's womb (what should be the safest, most nurturing place on Earth), does not forfeit the babies right to life. The baby is not the woman's body.... It relies on the mother for life.... just as a one-year-old or a three-year-old does.... If the pro-abortionist were to be purely un-hypocritical, then they should also support the right of the woman to chose to put her three year old toddler to sleep if they prove to be an inconvenience to them.... after all, the toddler would die without her care....and it is an inconvenience to her and her career or etc. . . . a simple trip down to the clinic and she is back on track with her life.

Of course only a psychopath would see no problem with this, because the toddler is right in front of our eyes....it is too real. But.... it is no more or less human than the brand new fetus.

If a demolition crew was about to destroy a large building, and somebody rushed up to them and told them they thought there might be a 0.00001% chance that there was a person inside the building.... should they ignore this and simply blow up the building? Of course not. They would send a crew through to ensure that there were no people inside. I say that unless you can be 100% certain, based on logic, facts and reason, that the fetus is not a human being . . . to abort the fetus is to commit murder.

If you can convince me that the fetus is not human, then there is a good chance I will change my views. I will be glad to hear what you have to say on this.

There is a lot more I can say about this topic, but I have gone on long enough as it is.

Ron Paul apologized for the entries from the journal that went out in his name.... though, as you note, he did not write any of that, nor has he ever espoused any such nonsense. Nevertheless... he has taken responsibility that a journal bearing his name released this sort of garbage.

As for the "Church/State" issue in the Constitution . . . none of the quotes you put here should be alarming . . . this is basic fact. I am speaking as a non-religious person, approaching this from a strictly logical perspective... We, the American people, have been indoctrinated to believe that the Constitution forbids any interaction between church and state . . . and they have used this to push religion further and further away from our national identity. In reading the First Amendment, I see a very clear protection against the state controlling the "church" .... that is to say, protecting against the "State Church" the like of which caused so many problems and persecution back in the old world . . . I see nothing in the language that would grant the government power to do what they have been doing for many years now in restricting religious freedoms and etc.

Again, I am not religious . . . but I believe one of the most important aspects to our sublime experiment with this Constitutional Republic, is individual freedom . . . and this includes religious freedom.... whether that religion be Christianity, Mormonism, Catholicism, Atheism (yes, I see Atheism as a sort of religion too), or etc.

Ron Paul is not advocating a theocratic state.... look at what he teaches.... listen to what he says..... there isn't even a hint that this might be a part of his agenda. As always, his concern is for the liberty, freedom and privacy of the individual against an ever more intrusive, controlling, regulating government.

I hope this inspires you to look more deeply into what Ron Paul teaches, and has been teaching for the past 35+ years. Of course he has flaws . . . but plotting to set up a theocracy is not one of them.

I think the so called "racist" comments are tongue in cheek, commenting on the justice system and polls and the way they are run. I think -you- are racist for seeing it in any other way but that. I also think you should look at who stands to benefit from the "Global Warming" myth and who is already reaping the money from it through ETS. People who write this stuff, (ie you) make me worried about the future.

Out of ALL the crazy things Ron Paul has EVER said, you chose these quotes to be the ones that scare you. You are apparently so liberal that you can't even think straight. Liberalism seems to be a mental disorder. Oh yeah, and FYI, global warming has been pretty much proven as non-existant. As in, falsified facts across the board. Al Gore was brilliant and is laughing his ass off from the BILLIONS of dollars he made because of a made up "problem" that we all have to fix by paying him more money to create "environmentally safe" products.

Ron Paul, has more issues than stating facts about minority groups and crime. I am in Arizona and it is safe, not politically correct, but safe to say that a vast majority of the Hispanics in Arizona are the ones committing the majority of the crimes.

When SB1070 was about to be put in place, there was a mass exidous of Mexicans, approx 400,000, and crime dropped 60 to 70 percent for about 6 months until some stupid judge said that we couldn't put the law in place completely. Then a lot of the people who had left, came back and crime went right back up.

7 out of 10 illegals crossing the Mexican border already have a FELONY record. That is a fact stated by the Pinal County Sheriff, Paul Babeu.

Separation of church and state was coined by Jefferson in a letter to the Danbury Baptist, he was simply stating that the government would never meddle in the affairs of the church, thus building a wall of separation between church and state. He never said nor intended that the church should not be involved government. The liberals have hijacked so many of the founders key words and phrases, pulled them out of context, and changed their meanings, then they preach these falsehoods enough that innocent people believe them because they don't do the research necessary. One example of a liberal hijacked word is "equality" in the Declaration of Independece. The term "all men are created equal" to a liberal means that all men have a right to be equal in status or lifestyle. Thats the liberal justification for wealth redistribution. However, when the founders penned those words, equality simply meant - that by nature no person had the authority to rule over any other person. Do you see the difference? There are a lot more Obama, Newt, Mitt, and Santorum quotes that scare me. As far as the newsletters go, I don't really care about it if it didn't come straight from Dr.Paul. If you read his books, go to his rallies, and meet him in person, you know for sure he is not a racist. I do think global warming is blown way out of proportion and is used to scare people into buying products. I don't care about the religious quotes because I know he believes in the separation of church and state. I know hes not perfect, but who is? Hes a lot better than anyone one else we have to choose from. I voting for RON PAUL!!!

"So Help Me God" by Forrest church is a grea book on how the our American founding fathers, Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison & Monroe thought of god and religion. Ron Paul does not know his history. Jefferson first used the term "a wall between church & state" he believed it and meant it deeply. The american revolution was faught in part to avoid the english syatem of a state religion. hese men believed in god not religion.

Enough said, look at what Ron Paul has been saying though, talking about how we need an audit of the federal reserve, only votes for bills that are constitutional(look at his voting record), and is supported by the people and military not privately owned corporations.

First off the race quotes he did not even say, they popped up during his last campaign and you even admit he did not say them. Honestly you should remove them from this site. Would you want yourself linked to a quote you did not say? Especially one that creates racial tension.
      Secondly there is much controversy over the whole (man made) global warming theory. I at on time thought man was responsible, it was what we where taught in school. After doing my own research I believe it is a major scam, But don't take my word for it, find your own truth. After you look in to it some, ask yourself, What is the Co2 level (ppm) after a volcanic eruption? What is our current level?
      Last but not least religion, If your atheist and I'm a {insert religion} then I should not have to hide my beliefs from you, nor you hide yours from me. That is the meaning of Freedom of Religion, You are free to believe what you want. His religion quotes mostly pertain to the founding fathers and are spot on when you read our history.

     Communist nations typically have secular societies and look at how well thats worked for them. The U.S.S.R. comes to mind under Lennin they became secular (not all by choice) and then Stalin murdered at least twenty million people of the society built by Lenin. I am sure the citizens thought they where intellectuals, at least smarter than the other nations who blindly follow the church, while in the meantime blindly followed the state all the way to the labor camps.

1. First of all Ron Paul didn't say this, maybe someone was having a bad day.

2. Once again, this is not Ron Paul, but if this is a true statistic, then it is not racist because facts are not racist.

3. Do some research on this, nothing is wrong with spirituality, it only strengthens and empowers a group of people to be connected and to have a healthy belief system. I am scared of the growing Atheist video gamer population because they seem to not have any understanding of how sacred and beautiful life is.

4. Once government starts teaching morality and spirituality, then you know that the civilization is going to end. I am not a big church guy, but a spiritual institution that recognizes spirit is in a way better place to teach about morality than the secular school systems.

5. This statement is completely true, and Ron Paul stating this shouldn't frighten you but rather the global elite who want to eliminate morality and values so they can brainwash and subdue the public to be lazy consumers instead of creative inventive individuals who can be successful and create capital.
